Welcome to Knights of Columbus Council 5561

Who are the Knights?

Fr. Veger Council 5561 was founded in 1964 following the principals of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism (our core values).  Since that time, the Council has grown to over 300 members among the 23,000+ Virginia Knights serving our church and community.  Today, there are more than 2 million members of the Knights of Columbus in some 15,000 local councils located in more than a dozen countries around the world.

Council Meetings:

2nd and 4th Thursday of every month at 7:30 pm with the exceptions of holidays.

For brothers interested in advancing to Full Knighthood from 1st or 2nd Degree, you may take the exemplification on-demand.  Begin by downloading a PDF invitation (click here for English, Spanish)

You may register for the exemplification of your choice by clicking on its associated link within the PDF invitation and filling out the online form.   Note that you will need your council number to complete the registration.

For New Candidates:  If you know of a candidate interested in joining our council, please contact our Membership Chairman, Chancellor Steve Chipman at chipman389@gmail.com  We will need a completed Form 100 and will vote on the candidate at an upcoming meeting prior to either an in-person or on-line exemplification.

Knights and Ladies Council Polos

We will be collecting forms for Thursday, November 10th at the Council Social Meeting. The orders (in envelopes) can also be placed in the metal mail slot in the door of the K of C booth in front of St. John's church entrance.  Note from member: Men's sizes are mostly true to size to slightly larger than normal.  Ladies sizes are running small (i.e. choose one size larger L to XL).  Please consult the order form for more details.
